Context

FOG ISLAND signed by Laura Covaci and curated by Gilda Ghinoiu is an exhibition about the emergence of a world at the threshold between the organic and the digital, between memory and simulation, between matter and image.

The selection proposes a digital cosmogony in which fog does not conceal reality, but becomes the very substance through which a new paradigm takes shape.

Microbe Flowers, The Flowering Skeleton, Extreme Hybrids and The Great Orchestrator, among others, are spectral creatures inhabiting a universe where biology and screen technology merge. Digital anxiety thus becomes the precondition for the existence of Fog Island, a realm in which forms begin to emerge.

The exhibition brings together works in painting, drawing, modelling, embroidery and digital print, collectively shaping an unstable territory in a state of continuous transformation.
