obiective
Scemtovici & Benowitz Gallery and Art Movements Foundation collaborate to increase the sustainability of the art sector, in the 2nd edition of the Art Movements Foundation Award for Contemporary Drawing.
Through this Award dedicated to professional creators, we want to reposition contemporary drawing at the top of the visual arts, to the potential demonstrated by this discipline on the global art market.
our expectations
We give equal chances of affirmation to professional Romanian artists, including future professionals from the academic environment, over the age of 18.
We want to meet again in the competition Romanian artists from the diaspora and to get to know, at the same time, foreign artists who create contemporary drawing in Romania.
promovare
The applications are analyzed and awarded by secret ballot by a new jury of experts from the art sector. The authors of the works with the highest score receive financial support from the Foundation, an artist receives the Collector's Award.
Award-winning and finalist works are promoted within Contemporary Drawing in Romania 2024, an annual exhibition curated by Raluca Ilaria Demetrescu.

Certainly incomplete due to the physical space limitations, the selection of drawings considered, alongside artistic excellence, a wide diversity of techniques and trends present in contemporary creation.
