17 Jan 2024 At the end of a 2023 rich in painting exhibitions and many big names present in Romanian galleries, I was happy to discover a young artist and see her personal exhibition, "Pulsatilla". In the space of an old restored house, where the Scemtovici & Benowitz Gallery is now located, Daniela Vîrlan invited the public on a meditative journey, through her works in vivid colors, loaded with fantastic characters and symbols.

Besides the big galleries (Strata, Romană, Nemțoi, Baraka, Atelier 030202 etc.), I was delighted by the presence of the young Scemtovici & Benowitz Gallery, which entered the public circuit at the end of last year. It is entirely meritorious that they came to MoBu with only one artist, Olimpiu Bandalac, a personality of experimentalism from the last decades.
