"ORELE..." is the recent painting and multimedia exhibition that the Scemtovici & Benowitz gallery has the privilege of organizing for the artist Olimpiu Bandalac.

Complex and unclassifiable, just like the artist's personality, the exhibition is organized in the form of a meta-installation that includes paintings, photography, and objects, arranged in a series of visual dynamics. On this pictorial stage-graphy, if the grammatical license is allowed, visitors are invited to stroll through a circuit with sensory landmarks and stops. Approaching the works, you almost wish for a magnifying glass with which to meticulously discover the carefully laid layers of pictorial matter, color overlays, and brushstrokes. Olimpiu Bandalac paints extensively on a work, his artistic production from ORELE... consists of creations made between 1981 and 1991, continuously updated.

The experimental music of composer Octavian Nemescu is the element that helps create the atmosphere that weaves between thought, observation, and emotion.

The setup is structured around the idea of time - its flow: the time of life, the time spent in the becoming of these works, the minutiae of execution, the patience in waiting for the result, the endless questioning about the correctness of decisions, countless comebacks...
